PlotEdit

Charlie Bucket (Nonny) lives in poverty in a small house with his parents and four grandparents. Grandpa Joe (Mr. Langoustine) tells Charlie all about the the legendary chocolate maker Willy Wonka (Mr. Grouper) and all the wonderful candies he made until other chocolate makers sent in spies to steal his recipes, which made him close the factory to outsiders. The next day the newspaper announces Wonka is reopening the factory and inviting five children to come on a tour, after they find a Golden Ticket. The first four tickets are found by greedy Augustus Gloop (Goby), bratty Veruca Salt (Deema), gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde (Oona) and television-obsessed Mike Teevee (Gil).

Charlie miraculously finds the fifth ticket and he goes to the chocolate factory with Grandpa Joe. The kids and their parents go inside and meet the Oompa Loompas (Little Fish) who help Willy Wonka operate the factory. One by one all the naughty children are expelled from the tour in mysterious and painful ways. Augustus falls in the chocolate river and gets sucked up a pipe, Violet turns into a blueberry after sampling a three-course chewing gum meal in the inventing room, Veruca falls down the garbage chute in the egg room after she is declared a bad egg, and Mike is shrunken after he tries to be sent by television. Charlie is the only one remaining when the tour is over and Wonka congratulates him for winning the contest, and after he explains how old he really is and why he sent out the Golden Tickets, he gives the entire factory to Charlie.
