Trivia

  • This film is very similiar to the 1939 movie, The Wizard of Oz.
  • This is the second Bubble Guppies feature-length film.
  • This is the fourth time Molly cries 4 times. These parts are similiar when Dorothy was crying about Miss Gulch taking Toto away, when the Guard tells her and her friends that the Wizard said "Go away!", when she was locked up in the Witch's castle and when she said goodbye to her friends.
  • This is the second time Gil gathered up everyone in a sketch and everyone said "It's time for Bubble Guppies!" instead of either Molly or Gil.
  • This is the first time two guppies get to change their hairstyle and have it dyed - those being Molly and Nonny.

  • Molly: Oh, but he doesn't do it every day - just once or twice a week. And he can't catch her old cat, anyway! And now she says she's planning to get revenge and take Bubble Puppy away. She said that she was gonna call the police.

  • Gil: Now look, Molly, you're not using your head about Olivia. You'd think you didn't have any brains at all.
  • Molly: I have so got brains!
  • Gil: Well, why don't you use them? When you come to school or come home, don't go by Deema and Olivia's place - then Bubble Puppy won't get in her garden and you won't get in no trouble. See?
  • Molly: Oh, Gilly, you just won't listen, that's all.
  • Gil: Well, your head isn't made of straw, you know.
  • Molly: *swims away*
  • Gil: *hits her finger with hammer and whirls around*

  • Molly and Oona: *swim along*
  • Molly: *takes biscuit* Oona, really - do you know what Olivia said she was going to do to Bubble Puppy? She said she was going to -
  • Oona: Now, Molly, my friend. You always get yourself into a fret over nothing.
  • Molly: Well -
  • Oona: Now, you just try to help us out today and try to find yourself a place where you won't get into any trouble.
  • Molly: Okay! C'mon, boy! *swims away* Some place where there isn't any trouble. Do you suppose there is such a place, Bubble Puppy? *tosses Bubble Puppy a piece of the biscuit*
  • Bubble Puppy: *eats the biscuit*
  • Molly: *swims forward* There must be. Not a place you can get to by a boat or a train. It's far, far away - behind the moon - beyond the rain - *sings* Somewhere, over the rainbow, way up high. There's a land that I heard of. Once in a lullaby. Somewhere, over the rainbow, skies are blue. And the dreams that you dare to dream. Really do come true. Someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far. Behind me. Where troubles melt like lemon drops, Away above the chimney tops. That's where you'll find me. Somewhere, over the rainbow, bluebirds fly. Birds fly over the rainbow, why then - oh, why can't I? If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why, oh, why can't I? *hugs Bubble Puppy*

  • Molly: *swims to Deema, Oona and Olivia* Oh, please, Deema? Bubble Puppy didn't mean to. He didn't know he was doing anything wrong. I'm the one that ought to be punished. I let him go in your house. You can tell me not to come to your house ever again -
  • Olivia: If you don't hand over that puppy, I'll bring a damage suit that'll take your whole school! There's a law protecting guppies against puppies that bite!
  • Deema: How would it be if he keeps him tied up? He's really gentle - with gentle guppies, that is.
  • Olivia: Well, that's for the police to decide. Here's the order allowing me to take him. Unless you want to go against the law. *shows order to Deema and Oona*
  • Mr. Grouper: *swims in and looks at the order* Uh - yeah -

  • Deema and Oona: Molly!
  • Molly: Mr. Grouper, girls, don't let 'em take Bubble Puppy! Don't let her take him - please!
  • Olivia: *tries to take Bubble Puppy away from Molly* I've got an order! Let me have him!
  • Molly: Stop her!
  • Deema: You can't go up against the law, girl! Put him in the basket, Mr. Grouper.
  • Olivia: The idea!

  • Professor Merman: Ha ha! Professor Merman never guesses. He knows! Ha ha! Now, why are you running away?
  • Molly: Why -
  • Professor Merman: No, no, now don't tell me. They - they don't understand you at preschool. They don't appreciate you. You want to see other lands, big cities, big mountains, big oceans. Ha ha!

  • Professor Merman: *roasting wiener on stick* Yeah.
  • Bubble Puppy: *swims and bites wiener off stick*

  • Molly: Who, me! I - I'm not a witch at all, I'm Molly, I'm from Bubbletucky.
  • Oona: Oh! Well, is that a witch?
  • Molly: Who, Bubble Puppy? Bubble Puppy's my one friend's puppy.
  • Oona: Well, I'm a little muddled. The Little Fish called me because a new witch has just dropped a school on the Wicked Witch of the East. And there's the school, and here you are, and that's all that's left of the Wicked Witch of the East.
  • Wicked Witch of the East's feet protruding from under the school*
  • Oona: *looks to Molly* And so, what the Little Fish want to know is - are you a good witch or a bad witch?
  • Molly: But I've already told you, I'm not a witch at all. Witches are old and ugly. *hears giggling noise* What was that?
  • Oona: The Little Fish. They're laughing because I am a witch. I'm Glinda, the Good Witch of the North.
  • Molly: *bows* You are! I beg your pardon! But I've never heard of a beautiful witch before.
  • Oona: Only bad witches are ugly. The Little Fish are happy because you have freed them from the Wicked Witch of the East.
  • Molly: Oh. But - if you please, what are Little Fish? *hears giggling noise again*
  • Oona: The little fishes who live in this land. It's Little Fish Land, and you are their national hero, my dear. It's all right - you may all come out and thank her.
  • Lots of Little Fish swim from behind flowers*
  • Oona: *sings* Come out, come out, wherever you are and meet the young lady, who fell from a star. She fell from the sky, she fell very far and Bubbletucky, she says, is the name of the star.
  • Little Fish: *sings* Bubbletucky, she says, is the name of the star.
  • Oona: *sings* She brings you good news. Or haven't you heard? When she fell out of Bubbletucky. A miracle occurred.
  • Molly: *sings* It really was no miracle. What happened was just this. The wind began to switch - the school to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch. Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch.
  • First Little Fish: And oh, what happened then was rich.
  • Little Fish: *sings* The school began to pitch. The classroom took a slitch. It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch, which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch. The school began to pitch. The classroom took a slitch. It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch, which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch. Who began to twitch and was reduced to just a stitch of what was once the Wicked Witch.
  • Molly: *steps in a horse carriage facing Little Fish*
  • Little Fish: *One swims forward from crowd, another follows and speaks*
